Peace Fleece Worsted Weight Yarn is 70% Merino wool/30% Mohair, combining Russian, Romanian and American product. Each skein is 2-ply and weighs 4 oz — approximately 200 yards with a suggested gauge of 4 stitches per inch with #8 needles. Of course, we suggest that you check your own gauge for each project.
New to Peace Fleece and to Willowgate Yarns, is a new collaboration of farmers, ranchers and fiber. This new offering is 70% wool/30% mohair that is 10% fiber from Russia, Central Asia or Eastern Europe and 90% US wool and mohair. The US fiber is a blend of wool from Merinos that have been grazing the Appalachian hill country for eight generations and fiber from Native and non-native sheep ranchers from on and around the Cheyenne River Lakota Reservation in South Dakota. The colors offered in this blend are the Blue Jay and the Mourning Dove. The skeins are 2-ply, 4 oz, approximately 200yds; 4 sts = approx 1" with #8 needles. Check gauge with each project. This blend is unique and truly beautiful!
As with any quality yarn, each dye lot may vary in color and thickness.
Washing Instructions: Handwash in lukewarm water using a gentle dishwashing liquid. Rinse well; do not wring. Roll in a towel to absorb excess water. Lay flat to dry, out of direct sunlight. This yarn will soften and fluff with continued washings.

Gauge Alert
As with any project, we urge you to check your gauge before beginning as there can be variations in any yarn. With Peace Fleece, the solid colors tend to be thicker than heathers, and flecked yarns are a little thinner still.
A suggested needle size for any given pattern may not be the correct size for your knitting style or chosen yarn. Swatching does help to ensure that the garment we take such care in knitting will fit well, which, in turn, enhances our pleasure in knitting.

...made with Peace Fleece Sheplova's Mushroom and Antarctica White, 2 skeins of each color. The blanket pattern is loosely taken from a Plymouth Yarns Baby/Lap Blanket pattern. This blanket measures approximately 28 1/2" long by 31" wide. Increase or decrease the size as needed. The pattern knits up quickly as it is just seed stitch on the borders and garter stitch in the body. Make this with any two colors or from a single color. This would be a gift appreciated by anyone who feels the winter chill!
